I was thinking about taking flonase , I did some research and what I found out was that it's a steriod.
Is it a real steriod although? I mean a steroid in the sense, that once you start taking it, you can't stop using it? How bad is this steriod? Is a steriod a common thing in OTC? I seem to be confused, I know steriods are bad in a sense if you take them once, it's in your system forever. Am I taking them at the right times? The Zyrtec makes me sleepy, so I take it at night I suspect that the Lisinopril may be making me sleepy, too, or maybe slightly light-headed? Night - Zyrtec, fish oil, Vitamin C, and Calcium chew.

I take zyrtec for my dust mite allergy and flonase twice daily I've also tried a humidifier with no noticeable effects. I make sure to drink plenty of water so it's not dehydration, I've been to ENT, allergist and surgery is the only solution they have found, unfortunately I don't have good insurance that will cover it.
I had surgery two years ago to remove tissue from my nose to enlarge my sinuses and it did help I also have asthma and it is making it flare up. I use my inhalers and Singulair for that regularly.
I have gotten very wheezy and short of breath at night. My sinus CT didnt really show any structural abnormalities. I honestly dont know what else to do. I am new here- and I am hoping to find some answers I was diagnosed with asthma about 14 years ago. When I was a child I had a lot of respiratory infections including pnuemonia and bronchitis.
Often, when I contracted pnuemonia, I would feel better in about 4 to 5 weeks only to relapse several weeks later and be as twice as sick. I remember with DS 2 I was on claritan I think and flonase nasal spray. I would talk with your doctor to get a better idea of whats safe or not. I've had the same problem since I was very young. I never feel like I can take a deep enough breath, it feels as if my throat is swollen shut, and I yawn constantly on purpose because it makes the feeling go away momentarily.
I actually went to the emergency years ago because I felt that the breathing problem was so severe that I couldn't handle it and I was going to die. I was diagnosed with anxiety and put on Xanax. It's inconvenient because of where I live and it's hard to find one. I have looked online and not much luck.
My Dr ordered a CT scan a year ago and said i had a deviated septum and some nasal polyps. I generally take Flonase. About a week ago the allergies and sinuses really got a hold of me and i had horrible sinus pressure, felt really spacey, had ear fullness and pain, felt a little off but no ear infection.
I got put on a antibiotic. I then just started the Flonase back up. One day i felt short of breath off and on. I also took a Zyrtec. Zyrtec doesn't work for me, and benadryl makes me so tired. So my Dr gave me flonase and said to take the benadryl at night.
So he gave me some stuff to sniff. All I take are my synthroid and prenatal pills tho. I'm to scared to take anything else, so I have been suffering. I do sniff my stuff when it gets really bad. I'm tooo lazy to go downstairs to see what the sniffy stuff is, but if someone wants the name I will go fetch it. I take zyrtec , singulair, flonase and astepro for the allergies and sinus. My ENT is stumped. How can I get my taste and smell back? I also suffer from horrible allergies and I am always taking an allergy pill and I also would take FLONASE every morning, I started to feel strange and weak, I would get headaches and my heart would feel like it was beating irregular and my chest would hurt.
I thought that I was having a heart attack because my left arm would start to hurt. These medications include fexofenadine Allegra , and cetirizine Zyrtec. You can also use nasal corticosteroid sprays like nasocort or flonase. Decongestants may also be helpful in reducing symptoms such as nasal congestion, but they should not be used for long periods. Cromolyn sodium is a nasal spray Nasalcrom for treating hay fever.
Eye drop versions of cromolyn sodium and antihistamines are available for itchy, bloodshot eyes. I am supposed to take a nasal inhaler As soon as I feel it coming on and my ears feel stuffy I pop a Claritin, some Flonase and ibuprofen if it comes along with sinus press again.
This has got to stop! Its not dust, because i am the cleaner in my house and i dont get sneezing when i deal with dust. Its not any season specific. I am kind of confused.. When i get this allergy, thats a spoiled day.. Yup, Oak pollen every where. I hope I can take Zyrtec because that's what helps. There when it got bad, I was breaking out in hives randomly and itching all over. That has mostly stopped as long as I take the medicine.
Except the sneezing has stopped. What else can we do? We've both been sick for years now!!! I want to help him, and I want my health back!! However, ear pressure can be normal but you can still have build up in the middle ear. If you can pop your ears which I can crunch and pop them at ANY time your tests will read normal. You definitely still have stuff in your tubes, and therefor your ears I know it will pass.
I have no heariing loss either. Very strange yet similar experiences. Out of curiosity, where do you live? I am in central shore NJ. I usually take sinutab or anything with pseudophedrine in it but since I am pregnant I can't take this and I am suffering from horrible sinus headaches. I don't go to the doctor until Thursday and I was just wondering if anyone else knows anything that may help. I have nasal spray that is safe to take but it doesn't help either.
I don't know how I am going to function at work through the week. I take Zyrtec and Flonase. I also take Zantac. I have Pepsid, but don't take it as it doesn't help heartburn much. So are you saying I should return to the Pepcid?
What about my Zyrtec? Should I switch to Benadryl? This is wonderful information! Do you have the internet link for the study? I used to to take Flonase but switched when I knew I wanted to get pregnant. Once I hit 12 weeks, I took Zyrtec almost every day along with Rhinocort when it was unbearable and patenol for my eyes.
Benadryl shouold do the trick for you but it will make you sleepy. I hope you find relief.
