How should the Baseball Hall of Fame be dealing with PED users? They still have to have talent. Even though they used Performance Enhancing Drugs, they still have to have good timing. I'm sure without the PEDs the would still be some uswrs the best players in that time. Bonds, Clemens, McGwire, and Sosa were all tren x1x far the best players of their era. Of the 89 players identified in the Mitchell Report, more than half of them weren't any good.

They still have to have talent. Even though they used Performance Enhancing Drugs, they still have to have good timing. I'm sure without the PEDs the would still be some of the best players in that time. Bonds, Clemens, McGwire, and Sosa were all by far the best players of their era.
Of the 89 players identified in the Mitchell Report, more than half of them weren't any good. There were, undoubtedly, even more stars of the game that simply never got caught cheating. So they get a pass Piazza, Bagwell, Pudge? Also, it isn't about whether what they did was ethical. They've already let murderers, racists, and abusers in. So many people don't like Bonds because he wasn't a nice guy. Did that matter when that southern bigot Ty Cobb got the most votes on the very first ballot?
It is time to forget about all the silly, "they were cheaters," nonsense, and let the best players in. The whole system will be a lot simpler that way. Tell that to Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle who have used it. And are in the Hall of Fame. Stop being so naive, you don't train like them you don't have old injuries like them.
Let them use and watch a hell of a game. After all is what we pay to see. I think if we know they used steroids before they were put in the hall of fame than we should be able to decline them the ability to get in because they violated the rules and should not get rewarded for that. However, if they were already in the hall of fame than we find out about the abuse it should not make a difference. They are cheaters and liars and they should not be recognized for their accomplishments. They are a disgrace to the sporting world and a disgrace to their families.
Being a professional athlete takes hard work and steroids enhance muscles too much too quickly. The steroid athletes should be banned from the Hall of Fame. Steroid users should not be admitted to the Hall of Fame. Sports are all based on the perfection of the game which includes fairness. Placing a steroid user in the Hall of Fame only sends a clear message to all of our youth that one can achieve and still be honored even when they do not follow the rules.
Sometimes you need an extra kick to an long season jet lag stuff like that. Plus the hardest thing to do in all of sports is hit a baseball its not like they have a magnet where the ball end up where they desire they still have to hit it. Who cares who uses it its not like other players cant. This is saying that cheating is ok, and its not. It would be saying that if you use PED's and were good it's ok. Also they should not deserve having anything like the World Series ring.
Tim Raines admitted to cocaine use during the Pittsburgh Drug Trials. Charles Comiskey grossly underpaid his players so badly, even by s standards, that 8 of them conspired with a Mob Boss with ties to gambling to throw the World Series, making him the 1 enabler of the Black Sox Scandal. He's in the Hall. Cheaters should not be allowed!!! They aint cool bro!! It can be dangerous!! It can also make you sick and die!!!! My friend Hector died from an over dose of steroids!! I'm very sad and i miss him.
People should get counseling for their loses. It is cheating and dangerous to other players and to their own body.
Steroids can mess with emotions and cause fights. They also don't show the true talent that a player has. It is also more expensive to by steroids and take them then play to your best ability.
Yes, their dominant play has been recognized but cheating is cheating. Doing someone to boost and tamper with your performance is cheating. Cheating is not allowed in a lot of events, especially sports. If you do something like cheating, or stealing lead to consequences. Let's say the steroids didn't even affect your game play.
It doesn't matter if you succeed or not. Look on the bright side. You don't have to be in the Hall of Fame to be recognized as a really talented athlete. It is just not fair for the other athletes using their natural strength. I really do not think that drug users belong in the hall of fame because thee hall of fame is for honest athletes only. The hall of fame is for real shining stars.
For people we can look up to. Steroid users are plain cheaters. We respect them for working hard and being great the sport that they are doing. But if they cheat to get to the point where they are, they do not deserve respect for not getting to the hall of fame the right way. It takes hard work, but they substitute it by cheating. Steroid users corrupt the whole idea of competitive sports by attempting to give themselves a beneficial edge over other players. The Hall of Fame recognizes superior achievement of an athlete and is not about the athlete's ability or willingness to alter his performance by using drugs.
It may be exciting to watch a steroid user beat records set in the past, but it is just not fair, and I don't know how they can morally take credit for something when it was achieved by a form of cheating. It was easier for the PEDs to standout and achieve grand statistics. Pete Rose is significantly more worthy the Hall of Fame. Hope he is voted in while he is alive to enjoy some of it. I'm sure he is repentant. Pete never cheated unfortunately he did lie, but he earned his stats. PED users not only cheat but they also lie by deception to the public as they achieve superior results.
Take down all the home run records from PED users. Steroid users should not be allowed in the Hall of Fame. The sport the athlete plays does not matter. Athletes that cheat the game should not be praised or allowed to be part of an elite group. Letting steroid users in is saying that cheating is okay as long as you play very well.
I think anyone who uses steroids should be required to give back all championship rings and trophies. They should definitely not get inducted in the Hall Of Fame, it is not fair to athletes who have achieved that title without any drugs. We need to make examples out of people who use steroids in sports. Sign In Sign Up. Add a New Topic. Should steroid users be in the Hall of Fame?
